Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam is an Indian scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007 and was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award, in 1997.
APJ Abdul Kalam is a name that has been synonymous with the Indian scientist, engineer and politician. He was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, India.
Introduction:
Apj Abdul Kalam saw India’s Vision 2020 as a dream. Dr. Kalam delivered his greatest address on the 25th of May 2011 at the Indian Institute of Technology in Hyderabad, when he outlined his vision for India. Let us learn more about his India vision 2020 by reading this essay.
He demonstrated the distinctions between India and other countries.
According to him, India has a 3000-year history in which people from all over the globe have stolen us, taken our land, and subjugated our minds. From Alexander to the Greeks, the Turks, the Mughals, the Portuguese, the British, the French, and the Dutch all pillage our land.
All of these individuals came to our nation and robbed us of all we had. However, we have not done so with any other nation to yet. We didn’t force anybody to work for us.
We did not take territory from any nation, we did not harm its culture, and we did not attempt to alter the way of life of its people. It’s all because we value other people’s freedom.
His Three Visions
Dr. Kalam has three aspirations for India in his India Vision 2020.
Freedom
As a result, his initial fantasy was to be free. He felt that India’s first dream of independence came true in 1857, when Indians began their fight for independence. Later, we Indians safeguarded this independence, nourished it, and expanded on it. No one would appreciate us now if we weren’t free.
Development
His second ambition was to see India flourish. For the last fifty years, the nation has been a developing country. But now is the moment to transform the nation into a sophisticated one.
India is one of the top five nations in the world in terms of GDP growth. In several sectors, we are growing at a 10% pace. Our poverty rate is also steadily reducing. Today, our accomplishments are evaluated on a worldwide scale.
However, the people of India are still unable to view India as a developed nation, owing to a lack of confidence, self-reliance, and self-assurance.
India is at the top of the world.
He experienced a third dream as well. India should, in other words, be at the top of the globe. No one and no other nation will appreciate India until it is at the top of the globe. Because only the strong are respected.
We must be powerful on all fronts, not only militarily, but also economically. We must all work together to ensure that our nation remains at the top of the globe.
Main Objectives
Food security, employment, education, science, and technological capacity, commercial education, health for everyone, human development, infrastructure development, energy, water management, land, forest, and biodiversity, and globalization are among the major objectives of India’s Vision 2020.
Conclusion:
In India Vision 2020, a number of issues were assessed. However, particular attention should be paid to education and employment in this respect. Because of the fast growth of India’s population, many new employment would be required in the next year.
